Port Blair, July 17: With an objective to promote chess in the Islands’ Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) organised a one-day intensive Chess training programme for advanced and intermediate players today the 17th July 2022 at Hotel TSG Emerald, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair.

Port Blair, July 17: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,84,574 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,605 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years.  24,890 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 32487.

Port Blair, July 17: Twelve positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 3 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 9 flights with 1357 passengers arrived, out of which,1239 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conductedon 96 passengers and the reports are awaited.   

Port Blair, July 15: To honour the services of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri. K Kamaraj, fondly called a Perunthalaivar (a tall leader), the Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today garlanded the statue of Shri. K Kamaraj at Dairy Farm Junction Port Blair on the occasion of his 120th birth anniversary.
